Special Projects in Public Services

This guide lists many of the special jobs that have been taken on by students and a brief description of each job.

Professional Publication

  • Students can research a topic interesting to them or relating to a special job they did in the library
  • Then co-write an article with library staff/faculty
  • Submit the article for publication to peer-reviewed journals in the field of Library Science.

  • Students can research and write professional conference presentations
  • Present alongside library staff/faculty at juried professional conferences in the field of Library Science
  • Students can also help write the conference proposals with their staff/faculty partner
