The Special Collections and Archives (SCA) reading room isopen by appointment only. Please use this linkto schedule an appointment. If you do not feel well on your appointment day, please re-schedule for another day.
Reading Room occupancy will be limited to allow for social distancing. No more than four work tables may be occupied by researchers at the same time. Only one person will be seated at each table. Two persons may share a table if one is an accommodation assistant to the other.
Readers and staff members will wear masks and maintain distance in each other’s company.
Please wash your hands before beginning your research appointment. Public restrooms are located in the center of the SCA (lower) level of Hutchins Library.
If pencils are needed for note taking, new pencils will be provided by SCA staff. To prevent sharing, please take the pencil with you when you leave. Ink pens may not be used in the reading room.
Please be prepared to take pictures, without flash, on your own device. This will reduce the handling of materials by multiple persons in succession. Portable scanners, iPads, cameras, and camera phones are welcome.
