Tech Help Desk Duties - Every Shift

At the Tech Help Desk and Don't Know What To Do?

It is expected that in any given shift, you will:

 

1. Clock in at the timeclock.

2. Help any patrons who may be waiting for assistance, noting the questions and answers in LibAnswers

3. Bring up  LibAnswers on the Ed Tech desk workstation, if it is not already.

4. At the beginning of shift, check the printer for low paper and toner. Fill up as needed.

5. Spot clean as needed, including wiping off counters and tabletops, picking up trash, recycling papers left behind by patrons, and pushing in chairs.

6. Collect books laying around department, returning them to either Circulation or Reference as appropriate.

7. Keep Tech Help Desk cleaned up/uncluttered.

8. Be accessible/approachable/helpful to all patrons (which means NO wearing headphones, SKYPEing, or extended personal calls at the desk).

9. Refrain from eating full meals. Beverages and small snacks are allowed.

10. Complete training modules/digital learning object assignments.

11. Other special projects as assigned.
