All the major broadcast networks have stations in Lexington. Local stations air news broadcasts at 6:00 pm and 11:00 pm which cover local news, sports and weather. National and world news are scheduled for 6:30. Most popular entertainment programs are presented during "Prime Time" from 8:00 to 11:00 pm. Overall, Kentucky has a mild four season climate, but Berea does have weather extremes. Yes, it can and does snow in the winter and temperatures often drop below freezing. Summer temperatures in the 90's are not uncommon. Some summers, the day time high temperature will exceed 100 degrees; this is unusual.
