Telephone Skills

This video will show you very briefly how to use the various functions of our telephone system. Remember to use customer service skills when speaking on the phone.


  1. When answering the telephone, here is what you should say:

    "Circulation Desk, this is (use your name here). How may I help you?"
  2. If someone is wanting to renew a book or reserve a study room, you should ask:

    "what is your B#?" AND "what is your name?"
