Project Description-Blended Learning and Active Learning Spaces
The Science 306 Blended Learning classroom, supports a state of the art "Active Learning Classroom" and scaffolds formal learning activities by providing flexible and adaptable learning spaces. These Active Learning Spaces are rich in technology and allow faculty to demonstrate, support, and model new pedagogy while influencing formal learning space design across the campus. The classrooms proposed in both of the following options include:
- Flexible/mobile furniture (easy to reconfigure).
- Multiple LCD capability that acts as digital signage when not being used for class.
- Active support for group work during structured class times.
- Abundant access to electrical outlets and wireless access.
- Recharging stations for portable devices.
- Upgraded Extron media management systems.
- Additional classroom specific technological enhancements.
