Circulation Module 11: What To Do When

Special Tasks

As a college research library, Hutchins keeps relatively long hours. Circulation and Reference are the two departments with the same hours as the library, meaning the two desks must be constantly staffed throughout the day. Because of this, it is very likely that all Circulation workers will have an opening shift and a closing shift at some point. Both of those shifts have additional tasks that you should be aware of. There are tabs for each shift detailing the specifics.

During the other parts of your shift, there may be times when there is seemingly nothing to do. However, upon further inspection, there is almost always something to be done at Circulation. To help you keep track of those smaller tasks, there is a tab for downtime duties.
