Windows Sound Settings Configuration
Windows 10/11 Setup
- Right-click Speaker Icon in system tray (bottom-right corner)
- Select "Open Sound Settings"
- Input Section: Click "Choose your input device"
- Select "Microphone (Yeti Stereo Microphone)" from dropdown
- Test Microphone: Click "Test your microphone" and speak
- Adjust Input Volume: Use the volume slider (aim for 70-80%)
Alternative Method - Control Panel
- Open Control Panel → Hardware and Sound → Sound
- Recording Tab: Look for "Microphone (Yeti Stereo Microphone)"
- Set as Default: Right-click and select "Set as Default Device"
- Properties: Right-click → Properties for advanced settings
- Levels Tab: Adjust microphone volume and boost if needed
- Advanced Tab: Set to 44100 Hz, 16-bit or 24-bit

Microphone Properties Settings
- Access Properties: Right-click microphone in Sound settings → Properties
- General Tab: Ensure device is enabled
- Listen Tab:
- Check "Listen to this device" for real-time monitoring
- Select playback device (headphones recommended)
- Levels Tab:
- Microphone Volume: Start at 70-80%
- Microphone Boost: Usually +10 dB to +20 dB if needed
- Advanced Tab:
- Default Format: 44100 Hz, 16-bit (or 48000 Hz, 24-bit for higher quality)
- Exclusive Mode: Uncheck both options for compatibility
Privacy Settings (Windows 10/11)
- Windows Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone
- Microphone Access: Ensure "Allow apps to access your microphone" is ON
- App Permissions: Enable for specific applications you'll use
- Desktop Apps: Ensure "Allow desktop apps to access your microphone" is ON
