Microphone Positioning
Attach to Stand: Screw the Yeti onto the included desktop stand or boom arm
Connect USB: Use the provided USB cable to connect to your iMac
Positioning: Place the microphone 6-8 inches from your mouth
Orientation: Speak into the SIDE of the microphone, not the top
Understanding the Controls
Pickup Pattern Knob (back of microphone)
Cardioid: Best for single person recording (most common)
Bidirectional: For two people facing each other
Omnidirectional: Picks up sound from all directions
Stereo: For capturing ambient sound or music
Gain Control
Located on the back of the microphone
Turn clockwise to increase sensitivity
Start at 50% and adjust as needed
Mute Button
Red button on the front
Press to mute/unmute
LED will turn red when muted
Headphone Volume
Knob on the bottom of the microphone
Controls volume of direct monitoring through headphones
