You can apply for a variety of scholarships through the single online application hosted by the ALA Scholarship Program. Review the following pages for more information on special areas of support or individual scholarship guidelines and benefits:
The scholarship process is open annually from September 1st - March 1st. Applications and reference forms (which must be submitted on-line) are available during that time period. Instructions and general information remain available year round.
The Katherine C. Christensen Scholarship Fund provides generous funding to support Berea students who are interested in history, medieval studies, calligraphy, libraries, or canon law.
Required steps for application:
Meet with your academic advisor or another faculty member to discuss your proposed project
Complete the Katherine C. Christensen Scholarship Application, including a budget and proposal essay of 400-600 words. If you have any difficulty with this process, please contact Tiffany Lindsey at: email@example.com
When finished, please upload your completed application to the Box folder linked on the application form itself as either a .PDF or .docx document with the correct naming convention.
Request a recommendation from a faculty member or advisor. The faculty member should submit their recommendation using the Katherine C. Christensen Endorsement Form.
All students who receive the Scholarship will be required to write a letter to the donor, indicating the positive impact of the opportunity..
