Google Maps

With Google Maps 'My Maps' feature easily create custom maps with the places that matter to you and allow friends to see and edit your maps, or publish them to the whole world. This is a great place to start if you're new to mapping and want to work with a familiar interface.

Palladio

Palladio is a product of the NEH Implementation grant, Networks in History: Data-driven tools for analyzing relationships across time. Palladio offers a map view to see any coordinates data as points on a map.

StorymapJS

StorymapJS is a free tool to help you tell stories on the web that highlight the locations of a series of events. It is a new tool, yet stable in their development environment, and it has a friendly authoring tool. 

Leaflet

Leaflet is an open-source JavaScript library for mobile-friendly interactive maps. Weighing just about 38 KB of JS, it has all the mapping features most developers need.

QGIS

QGIS is a user friendly Open Source Geographic Information System (GIS). It provides a continuously growing number of capabilities provided by core functions and plugins. You can visualize, manage, edit, analyze data, and compose printable maps. 

ArcGIS Online

Connect people, locations, and data using interactive maps. Work with smart, data-driven styles and intuitive analysis tools. Share your insights with the world or specific groups.
