The Assistive Technology (A.T.) Lab at Hutchins Library

A service of Berea College Disability & Accessibility Services (DAS)

The Assistive Technology (A.T.)  Lab houses various assistive hardware technologies that provide access to both graphical and textual information through alternate formats. Some of the hardware is designed to be used directly, such as the braille typewriter or the Humanware Prodigi, and some of the hardware is designed to be used to create accessible materials, such as the Canon Document Scanner. The list below provides an overview of what is currently have available in the Lab.

  • Convert print documents to electronic documents
  • Create editable documents from old print text
