Excellent resource providing current issue essays, annual reviews of countries, selected documents and statical tables. This publication was canceled in 2007 due to the economy and the fact it often ran three to five years behind. For example the 2001/2002 volume was published in late 2006. However, here is the value in the last edition, the current issues essays included articles on the founding of the African Union, Islam in Sub-Saharan Africa, France in Africa, Germany in Africa, Aids and Women in Africa.
